![]() My Mom had wanted me to make “something quilty” for her new senior’s residence and had given me some fabric from her sofa to match. I echo-quilted it to make the Poinsettias stand out. It is fused and then added decorative stitching. We each made our own version of this Poinsettia Table runner. Our local quilting group had a one day retreat at one of our member’s houses last December. So to finish this one, I made only 4 blocks and turned it into a table runner. I wasn’t total happy with this project because I have several other sampler’s and vintage projects still being an WIP or even an UFO. I started this year a new project with my quilt group. The pattern is from Cozy Modern Quilts by Kim Schaefer. Motivated by the Rainbow Scrap Challenge held by another blogger, I used up most of my green scraps for this runner. It’s made from a Moda charm back and the block is a disappearing 9 patch. This quilted treat was my first time using the free motion quilting technique.
